By using CalcNova (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What this Service is
CalcNova is a free, browser-based set of calculation tools — including a scientific calculator, graphing calculator, matrix calculator, fraction calculator, percentage calculator, standard deviation calculator, triangle solver, currency converter, calculation history, notepad, and an AI assistant that explains calculations.
2. No professional advice
Results from this Service are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional academic, financial, engineering, or other advice. Currency conversion rates are for reference only and should not be relied on for actual financial transactions. You are responsible for independently verifying any result before relying on it, especially for homework, exams, or professional work.
3. The AI assistant
The “Ask the Calculator” feature uses an AI model to explain calculations and mathematical concepts. AI-generated explanations may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. The calculator engine — not the AI — is the source of truth for numerical results. Do not treat the AI assistant’s output as authoritative without checking it against the calculator’s own result.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service, including bypassing rate limits on the AI assistant
- Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or abusive content through the AI assistant
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse any backend systems supporting the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service in a way that degrades it for other users
5. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. While we test the calculation engine, we do not guarantee it is error-free.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RankForge Digital is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to errors in calculations, currency conversion results, or AI-generated explanations.
7. Third-party services
The currency converter relies on a third-party exchange-rate service, and the AI assistant relies on a third-party AI model provider. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these third-party services.
8. Changes to the Service or these terms
We may update the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
